Massapequa Takes Action Coalition (MTAC) will host free TIPS training for ON Premises businesses (bars,
restaurants, etc.) in its efforts to prevent underage drinking, intoxication and drunk driving across the Massapequas. TIPS, a skills based training, stands for Training Intervention ProcedureS and is an approved alcohol training awareness program by the New York State Liquor Authority.
MTAC’s TIPS is being offered in conjunction with the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County Police Department, YES Community Counseling Center, and Massapequa Chamber of Commerce. Special thanks to the Bristal at Massapequa for hosting and serving lunch!
This innovative FREE training seeks to enhance the fundamental “people skills" of SERVERS of alcohol consumers of alcohol. The training, delivered by YES Community Counseling Center (YESCCC), provides the knowledge and confidence to recognize potential alcohol–related problems and effectively intervene to prevent alcohol-related tragedies.
